Ladies Online BS Platform (This woman A Living Sacrifice)

Text: Ephesians 5:1-2

“Be ye therefore followers of God as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.”

As children of God, we have been called upon to imitate Christ, to walk in love as He did.

Just as Christ gave Himself up as a Living sacrifice, an offering to God as a sweet-smelling savour so we too are expected to do the same. Which is why our Ladies Online BS platform, (This woman a living sacrifice) couldn’t be more befitting.

It is God-ordained, birthed by God Himself to nurture us ladies into becoming that living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.

It is a platform that God has given us ladies to receive the teachings and the corrections that will make us into instruments for special purposes, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

(2 Tim 2:21)“Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.”

• God is the originator of discipleship.
• A disciple is a follower of Jesus.
• As followers of Christ, we have to choose to live by God’s standards instead of the world’s, Roms 12:2 - “And do not be conformed to this world”

John 17:16-17(NKJV)

16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

• What we learn on the online platform must become a way of life for us, we must strive to ensure we make the necessary changes through God’s grace and the help of the HS.
• The call to discipleship is a call to put Jesus and His will for our lives above anything else.
• It requires a cost but it also promises a reward greater than any other can give.

Conditions of a disciple:

• Matthew 10:37“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me”
• Luke 14:27 - “And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple”
• Luke 14:33 - “So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.”
• Esther as a disciple of Mordecai considered not her own life to save her people. “And so I will go to the king, which is against the law and if I perish, I perish” Esther 4:16
• John 8:31 – “If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ was a discipler, at the beginning of His ministry, He went out and called to Himself the twelve to be His disciples.

From a multitude of people, He selected twelve that He taught, instructed, pruned, corrected and guided until they were ready.

These ones then became world changers who impacted nations with the Gospel of Christ.

God has picked us to be a part of this Online BS for a purpose.

You may think oh it was my friend, neighbour or even a work colleague that introduced you to this platform, well yes God uses people to put together pieces of a puzzle that will become part of a bigger plan.

We therefore should not take our coming onto this platform lightly, it is a great privilege.

The body of Christ stands as it is today because it has devalued discipleship.

On this platform, God’s intention is for us to off-load the baggages that we have been carrying around for far too long, to be pruned and relieved of every hint of the OM through the renewing of our mind that we may know what is good and acceptable and God’s perfect will for us.

God can do nothing with us when we harbor forgiveness, hatred, envy and malice, when we are not kind-hearted one to another.

We have gone through the study of how each one of us must go through the door where we receive God’s approval or disapproval.

Through this platform, God hopes that we as women will become a fragrance of Christ, who will spread the knowledge of Christ, everywhere like a sweet perfume will be birthed.

God has been using our discipler, Pastor Yetunde immensely on this platform, we are grateful to God.

As a discipler, she is a type and shadow of our Lord Jesus Christ.

She continues to bring the Word of God in its entirety to us with an emphasis on Cross-centeredness.

She yearns for us women on this platform to eat, breathe and sleep the Word of God that is able to transform us to that living sacrifice.

• The Word of God is like a two-edged sword, it is the only one that can break into pieces erected walls of unforgiveness, sin and lustful desires, it can slice through a heart of malice, envy and hatred.

Jesus said:

John 17:8 (NIV) For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.”

1 Corinthians 11:1 (NIV) Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

I have so far seen the benefits of this platform as I walk along this road of discipleship.

• Humility

Where I was tempted to think I know what is best for myself and I didnt need anyone telling me what to do, when and how but I realised that perhaps I was a little confused and needed to take heed to the wise counsel that I was receiving on these platform.

Jer 17:9 - “The heart is deceitful”

I realised that to trust myself at all times was probably not the best route to take.

To receive instructions from another and to act on it requires a humble spirit

Proverbs 1.5 - “A wise man will hear and learn and will acquire wise counsel.”

• Openness & unity

Since being a part of this BS, I have been able to seek counsel (which meant being open about my life) from other women on the platform and have received so much encouragement and prayers. Acts 2:42 – “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship and to sharing in meals and to prayer.”

PRAYERS

• Father thank You for the Ladies Online BS Platform that you have given us.
• Lord thank You for how You have used this platform and how You will continue to use it to transform women’s lives.
• Thank You Lord for our mother Pastor Yetunde, What a big responsibility, may You grant her the grace to continue with zeal and determination. Refresh her physically & spiritually. Her reward only is from You Lord.
• Lord let there be a continual & tremendous release of Your Spirit on this platform.
• Lord summon more women from near and far to come and join this ladies online BS platform, may You make it bigger and greater in Jesus’ name.
• Lord let the heart of every woman that comes onto the ladies BS both new and old, be humble & yield to Your directions and corrections, may we each consider the seriousness You place on discipleship.
• As women Father we receive the grace to live lives that are pleasing in Your sight, lives that do not conform to this world but are free from sin that we may become trophies in the hands of our Lord Christ.
• When pruning us Lord, may we not resist, help us to remain still, trusting that You are in control.
• Jesus Christ and Him crucified will continue to be at the centre of all our messages on this online platform.
• 2 Timothy 2:2 (NKJV) - 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
• Lord thank You for entrusting us with Your Word, grant us a spirit of faithfulness that we may be able to teach others also.
• For every woman that has passed through this platform, we shall all finish strong, none of us will miss it, we will matter where it matters, our children and husbands will not miss it too, we shall all become living sacrifices, Holy and acceptable to You.
