Pressing into destiny like Tamar

To have a good grip of what we are going to pray about this morning, I would like us to read Genesis chapter 38 quickly. 1 It came to pass at that time that Judah departed from his brothers, and visited a certain Adullamite whose name was Hirah. 2 And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite whose name was Shua, and he married her and went in to her. 3 So she conceived and bore a son, and he called his name Er. 4 She conceived again and bore a son, and she called his name Onan. 5 And she conceived yet again and bore a son, and called his name Shelah. He was at Chezib when she bore him. 6 Then Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, and her name was Tamar. 7 But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord killed him. 8 And Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife and marry her, and raise up an heir to your brother.” 9 But Onan knew that the heir would not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in to his brother’s w...

Woman Why Weepest Thou?

I saiah 61:3 (NKJV) “ To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” To Weep - To express grief, sorrow, or any overpowering emotion by shedding tears. Also weep for joy. Many women wept in the Bible. For one reason or another, something in their lives caused them much heartache and a deep inner pain that it caused them to weep. Ruth 1:9 (NKJV) "May the LORD grant that you may find rest, each in the house of her husband." Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their voices and wept. Both Ruth and Orpah had had the misfortune of losing their husbands. Now their Naomi their mother-in-law was kissing them goodbye that she may return to her land of Judah. All 3 of these women had been widowed. 1 Samuel 1:7-8(NKJV) “ So, it was, year by year, w...

Though the darkness hide Thee, Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see; Only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee, Perfect in pow’r, in love, and purity. Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! All Thy works shall praise Thy Name, in earth, and sky, and sea; Holy, holy, holy; merciful and mighty! God in three Persons, blessed Trinity! Surrendered ownership of her life and womb to the God of Israel Result The lineage of Christ found continuity An unlikely candidate who found favour with God and man. PRAYERS Luke 1:4 [My purpose is] that you may know the full truth and understand with certainty and security against error the accounts (histories) and doctrines of the faith of which you have been informed and in which you have been orally instructed. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away.
